Sign up now. The OBM membership is free. Register yourself in a view seconds. Fill out the registerform, read and accept the terms of use and click on OK. That's all. A new account will generated for you and afterwards you can log in and use the Online Bookmark Manager. So do it, sign up now: <Sign up> Log inInsert your Login name und password. If you dont have a login name, than sign up for Online Bookmark Manager <Help: Sign up / Register>. If you forgot your password, you can reset your password. OBM will generate a new password for you and send it to your e-mail address <Help: Forgot password?>. Forgot pasword?If you forgot your password, you can reset your password. OBM will generate a new password for you and send it to your e-mail address. Insert your e-mail address and click Reset. Das neu generierte Passwort wird dann an Ihre Email-Adresse verschickt. Danach können Sie sich mit diesem Passwort und ihren Usernamen anmelden und anschliessend ihr Passwort ändern <Help: Change passwort>. GeneralLogin PageAfter log in, you will see the Login-page. All available functions are listed, with their description and link. SettingsSettings: OBM SettingsHere you will find all personal settings about Online Bookmark Manager. Set the initial views, and so on... Settings: Edit AccountEdit account settings (login name, last name, first name, e-mail address) Settings: Change passwordChange your password. Insert your old password and new password and retype your new passwort. To save the new password click "Save settings". Thats it. Settings: Forgot your password?Siehe <Help: Forgot your password?> LogoutAt the end of your session you should leave the system by log out. So it will guarantee the security of the system and your user data. BookmarksBookmarks: ShowOn this page you can view your bookmarks. Here are listed all (private and public) bookmarks and directories. OnlineBookmarkManager offers you the possibility to choose between the following 2 views:

Bookmarks: Edit
The edit view shows all bookmarks and directories. Before every bookmark and directory you will find additional buttons to edit, delete, or create new bookmarks or directories.
FunctionsFunctions: Add a bookmark
Create a new bookmark. Insert a name and a valid url. Additional you can insert a short description. Select a visiblity of the new bookmark. To learn more about visibility and private or public bookmarks, visit <Help: Public Bookmarks>. At last select a directory to add the new bookmark. To confirm the input click the "OK" Button. Functions: Add a feedCreate a new RSS-feed. Insert a name and a valid feed-address. Additional you can insert a short description. Select a visiblity of the new feed. To learn more about visibility and private or public bookmarks, visit <Help: Public Bookmarks>. At last select a directory to add the new feed. To confirm the input click the "OK" Button. Afterwards you can expand and read the RSS- feed in the bookmarks view. Functions: Add a directory
Create a new directory. Insert a name and select a directory to add the new directory. To confirm the input click the "OK" Button. Functions: EditSelect a bookmark or directory, you want to change. Click "OK" to accept the selection and edit the selected bookmark or directory on the next page. To confirm the changes click "OK" again. Aktion: DeleteSelect the bookmarks and directories, you want to delete. You can select more than one element. Also you can select bookmarks and directories at the same time. Click "OK" to accept the selections. On the next page you have to confirm the selections again. Attention: If you delete a directory, all bookmarks and subdirectories will be deleted. Functions: Import/ExportWith the Online Bookmark Manager you can import or export your bookmarks from/to your browser (Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer). The new imported bookmarks get the visibilty :"private". To learn more about visibility and private or public bookmarks, visit <Help: Public Bookmarks>. Import from Internet Explorer:Select the following entry in the menubar (File > Import and Export...) .
Click (Export favorites) in the next dialog. Select a directory, you want to export and save the bookmarks into a new file.
Now you can import the bookmarks from this file into Online Bookmark Manager. Select the Import/Export page and click (Browse...) to select the bookmark file. At last you have to click the (Import) Button to start the import operation! This process can last some time. Import from Mozilla FirefoxIf you use Firefox (by the way, good choice), you can use the Online Bookmark Manager Firefox-Plugin(Extension). The Extension is a powerful tool to synchronize, import and export your bookmarks between your browsers and the Online Bookmark Manager. The Plugin is innovative, easy to use, quickly installed and free <Help: Firefox Plugin>. If you dont like to use the plugin, select the following entry in the menubar (Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks...).
Afterwards select (File > Export...) in Firefox-Bookmark-Manager menubar.
At last save your bookmarks into a new file. Now you can import the bookmarks from this file into Online Bookmark Manager. Select the Import/Export page and click (Browse...) to select the bookmark file. At last you have to click the (Import) Button to start the import operation! This process can last some time. Additional FeaturesPublic BookmarksYou need a link list on your own home page. No problem for you. The OnlineBookmarkManager offers you a solution to organize your bookmarks. This bookmarklist is cost free, changeable, nice and easy to use.Add a personalized hyperlink to your page to link to your bookmarks. For this purpose you have to add a hyperlink on your own home page. Differ between public and private bookmarks. Only public bookmarks will displayed in your link list. Public Bookmarks: Show
Here you will see a preview from your link list. Only public bookmarks and their directories will displayed in your link list. All (means: private and public) bookmarks and directories will shown in the standard view <Help: Bookmarks>. Public Bookmarks: Change Visibility
Only public bookmarks and their directories will displayed in your link list. Here you can change the visibility between public and private bookmarks. The selected, blue bookmarks are public (visible in your bookmark list) and the unselected, red bookmarks are private(invisible in your link list). To change the visibility select or deselect the bookmarks and click "Save settings".

Install the plugin: visit <Help: Install> RequirementsInstallTo install the plugin click the "Firefox Plugin" Button on the following page: <Downloads>. A Notify Message will appear at the top of the browser window. Accept the page and click the button again.
After you accepted the page and click the button the Software-Install-Dialog appear. Wait one moment and click "Install".
At last close and restart your Firefox browser. Now you should see the Online Bookmark Manager Entries in the menubar (Tools > Online Bookmark Manager). Select (Settings) and insert your OnlineBookmarkManager-Account loginname and password. Congratulations. The plugin is installed sucessfully. Your Firefox will automatically notified if a new Plugin version is out and update your plugin. SettingsSelect the menubar entry (Tools > Online Bookmark Manager > Settings). Settings: General

Activate or deactivate automatic synchronisation on startup and shutdown. Select a option to synchronize, import or export at startup or shutdown. Notice: No dialogs will be shown. Instead a short information is given on the lower screenbar. Settings: Import
Import your bookmarks from OnlineBookmarkManager to your Firefox browser. Select one of the following three import-functions.

Export your bookmarks from your Firefox browser to Online Bookmark Manager. New bookmarks gets the visibility: private. Select one of the following three export-functions.
SynchronizeSelect (Tools > Online Bookmark Manager > Synchronize online bookmarks) to synchronize your bookmarks. What do you mean with Synchronize? The Synchronize oprations contains the following 2 steps. In the first step all bookmarks and directories will exported from your Firefox-browser to Online Bookmark Manager. In the second step all bookmarks from Online Bookmark Manager will imported to your Firefox-browser. In both steps the operations use the option: Add. Means the Synchronize operation create or change bookmarks and directories and never delete bookmarks or directories. Tip: With the following 3-rd steps you can simply and comfortably manage/synchronize your bookmarks:
ImportSelect (Tools > Online Bookmark Manager > Import online bookmarks) to import your bookmarks from Online Bookmark Manager.
Import your bookmarks from Online Bookmark Manager into your Firefox-browser. Choose between 3 import functions, see: <Help: Settings> ExportSelect (Tools > Online Bookmark Manager > Export online bookmarks).
